AISD Food Service is teaming up with iconic Austin restaurant, Kerbey Lane Cafe, for a Pancake Challenge that sparks creativity and gives back. Students in Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to draw their dream pancake.

Challenge Guidelines:

• The Challenge is open to all Austin ISD students in Pre-K through 5th grade. 
• Students will use the Pancake Challenge template (linked here) to draw their dream pancake using crayons, markers, paint, glue, or anything that fits on the template. 
• Students will include their name, grade, teacher, and school on their submission.
• We ask that parents/guardians sign and date the submission to approve permission to participate, artwork & media release, privacy & safety, and authorization.
• Submissions are due to the cafeteria manager at your school by January 30, 2026.

Three winning drawings will be selected as the features Pancake of the Month this spring at all Kerbey Lane locations, with a portion of the proceeds helping to cover negative meal account balances for Austin ISD students.
